Healing for Life

My passion for astrology and natural healing is ongoing and life-long.

Growing up in the late 1950s and 1960s, I chose fresh vegetable salads every day, even though my family was determined to eat boiled asparagus, liver, and onions. Bleck! 

In 1981, my mother suddenly died at 56 years old from cancer, and I was catapulted into feeling that life is promised to no one tomorrow, so what am I going to do about it today? Waste any more time? I don't think so.

Within a month, I found myself out of state in Herbal Medicine and Massage Therapy school, and I never looked back.

In 1990, I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Chani, and two weeks later, my husband Dale and I were sitting in front of our trusted astrologer, Betty Atwater. She gave us an astounding astrology reading for our only child that quite literally taught us how to parent this new being. As I look back on this, I realize that the gift of that reading was priceless.

Astrology exposes you to the questions the Universe is asking you, but how you respond is totally up to you. Betty gave us our daughter's life questions, what she came into this world to accomplish, and how she might respond to life's challenges. She said that her natal chart suggested that if we did not provide her with unique adventures within our family, she would find them outside the family, and that could potentially cause her problems. 

So, we took Chani traveling around the world, helicopter-skiing and kite-surfing with her dad, cross-country and downhill ski racing throughout the States and Canada, and many other fun activities. Now, she is a teacher, working and living in New Zealand, which is a big surprise since she was very dyslexic in her school years.

Why do I tell you all this? At the time of her reading, I thought, well, I guess that was an interesting thing to do... but now I know it was the KEY to unlocking our child's full potential. And I'd be honored to help you unlock your child’s potential.

Besides being a professional evolutionary astrologer since 2007, here are my other interests:

I have been a licensed massage therapist in Washington State since 1990 but have been practicing massage since the early 1980s. I have mastered Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Cranial Decompression, Visceral Massage, Reflexology, Pregnancy Massage, Tuning Fork Therapy, Reiki and various detoxifying spa therapies.

I am a nationally certified reflexologist with the American Reflexology Certification Board and a Washington state-certified reflexologist.

I created and owned a Massage and Day Spa and managed it for 17 years, providing clients with a distinct and varied way to relax and rejuvenate.

I studied and passed a national test in Iridology, attained a level 2 distinction with the Steven Forrest Astrological Apprenticeship program, attended the California School of Herbal Studies, and am a Reiki and energy healer.

I am a world traveler, researching Ayurvedic treatments in India, Thai Massage in Asia, and reflexology and astrology in Europe and New Zealand.

I teach a six-week class called "May I Introduce You to Astrology?" I also wrote a book about how to start a massage therapy business successfully, "Massage Therapy or Bust," and have been writing a bi-monthly astrology column in a Canadian magazine since 2014.

I love paddling my new kayak, and my e-bike has literally changed my life. I’m also teaching myself how to sew on a sewing machine, and even though I can’t play the guitar, I’m still trying to.

I have a thriving astrology practice where I meet clients locally or through Zoom. I work with individuals and couples, and lately, I have been involved with Astrology Zoom parties of up to 6 people, where I give readings on the spot. This is so fun for me and hopefully for the parties, too!

I still love to help people through massage therapy and am committed to seeing real change. I am not just helping them relax but also helping them heal their lives.

After years of heading to Alaska in summer to fish for wild-caught seafood, I am now in the middle of writing a nonfiction book, tentatively titled Unlock the Language of the Universe. Stay tuned!
