Scientists have started to show us that everything in our Universe is made up of energy. Meaning that the exact same energy that is the rock in your path, your favorite pets, plants and computer, the air you breathe and the experiences you treasure are all from the same source.
Since energy is neither created nor destroyed, it stands to reason that we are all made of the same stuff. I like to think that we are all stardust, it makes me happy... "We are stardust, we are golden, we are billion year old carbon"- Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, The song, Woodstock.
So if this is true, then aren't we all one, just like ancient peoples have professed for centuries?
I like to think so.
When we think of THOSE people who disagree with us, especially lately when we are so politically divided in the United States, It's probable that they are us and we are them. So maybe we could practice more loving kindness and non-judgment a little bit more frequently.
